About The Big Read

The Oneida Community Mansion House, the Oneida Public Library, and the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library invite you to join us for a series of events exploring topics related to Thornton Wilder’s The Bridge of San Luis Rey and Our Town. Events will be held at all three locations during March as part of a National Endowment for the Arts Big Read grant.

The Big Read was launched in 2007 to restore reading to the center of American culture through partnerships with local organizations willing to coordinate month-long programs tied to reading of important books. By June 2010, more than 800 grants will have been awarded to communities throughout the United States. For more information, visit the NEA’s Big Read site.
