I read the book again recently after first reading it in high school. I was quite taken by the relationships in which the characters were involved. I also found myself wondering why it has been so widely read, discussed, printed, etc.
The keynote address by Donna Woolfolk Cross on March 6 was phenomenal. She discussed the writing and research of Pope Joan as well as Thornton Wilder’s book and the play “Our Town.” It was inspirational!
